Kronberg Academy meets Web 2.0
After 15 years of our existence we are pursuing a new project, „Kronberg 2.0″, the Web 2.0 way. We are convinced that we can have direct dialogue with many people through this multimedia and interactive internet and hope to enthuse them for classical music.
Not only are we trying to reach the friends, sponsors and the audience, but mainly the young musicians, the violinists, violists and cellists. We would like to give them the opportunity to learn more about our activities and events and to allow them to have a look behind the curtain. Through this dialogue we hope to find out what they think about us and to get positive as well as negative feedback. We are open for suggestions, wishes and recommendations.
The possibilies to communicate with us are numerous. You can communicate with us through the online platforms Facebook, MySpace, StudiVZ and SchülerVZ (coming soon), watch and comment on videos of masterclasses on YouTube or you can follow us at Twitter.
Our Web 2.0 activity is not limited to Germany since we aim to reach an international audience – especially young musicians. In these social networks English will be the dominant language and we will regularly post English blogposts.
For those who are not familiar with our activities: the Kronberg Academy is unique in its form as a private culture institute for the elite of classical music. World famous musicians such as Gidon Kremer or Yuri Bashmet regularly come to Kronberg to teach young talented artists. Together the teachers and students appear in public at rehearsals, masterclasses and concerts during festivals and competitions.
Since 2007 the Kronberg Academy – in cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main offers the possibily to young talented artists to apply for the degree program Kronberg Academy Master (M.Mus.) and Kronberg Academy Further Masters Studies.
